The Texas Longhorns and Oklahoma SoonersThe rivalry isn’t going anywhere once the two programs enter the SEC conference in the coming years — when that might be.
It’s according to a new Austin American Statesman report.
“Regardless of the format of the eight-game or nine-game conference schedules, we’ll always play Texas,” Oklahoma athletic director Joe Castiglione said. Statesman. “If the SEC sticks to its current model of just eight league games, the format will be one permanent rival (OU-Texas) and seven rotating teams.”
