Big Sam spotted in bushes outside Everton training ground

There has been a sighting of the legendary Premier League creature known as ‘Big Sam’ at Everton’s Finch Farm training ground this afternoon, according to Paddy Power News.

According to reports, former Toffees boss Allardyce was spotted hiding in the bushes outside the club’s training base.

Several witnesses claim to have seen the 67-year-old near the Halewood facility since the Merseyside club parted ways with former manager Rafa Benitez last Tuesday.

Residents next to Finch Farm have complained to the Premier League about the strong smell of sauce emanating from the thicket that surrounds the complex.

A local has identified ‘Big Sam’ as the source of the aroma after capturing drone footage of the former Bolton Wanderers boss pouring pints of Bisto in the undergrowth.

“At first I thought it was one of those big cats, like the Beast of Cumbria,” Conor Spiracy told Paddy Power News.

“But as the drone got closer I realized it was a much bigger beast. Probably six feet tall on its hind legs. And wearing a bench coat”.

“He paced the perimeter of the training center and seemed to be testing the weaknesses of the fence.”

However, club owner Farhad Moshiri denied the existence of ‘Big Sam’ and considered the recent sightings to be a combination of folklore, misidentification and a hoax.

“There is no ‘Big Sam’,” a furious Moshiri told Paddy Power News.

“No data other than fabricated material has ever been presented,” he added, setting fire to all documentation relating to Allardyce’s brief tenure at Everton.

Meanwhile, Everton fan groups have confirmed they are working on a new boo to welcome new manager Vitor Pereira.

“We’ve booed so many players, managers and board members – it’s hard to keep coming up with new ideas,” a spokesperson said on behalf of the group.

“He was born on July 26. Hmm. Maybe we should go out in the 26th minute blowing our noses in the Portuguese flags?’
