Gonzaga was only one perfect-season win away from the NCAA, but fell to the Baylor Bears in the NCAA Championship game. Four players from that Zags team now play in the NBA, leaving Drew Timme as the only remaining starter of the talented 2020-21 squad. Still, the Bulldogs are the nation’s No.1 team and have Tipico Sportsbook’s highest odds of any college men’s basketball team to qualify for the Final Four.
The Zags will attempt to follow a similar route to a second consecutive Final Four, which means loading the non-conference roster with high-profile clashes before crossing the West Coast Conference. This time around, they’ll do it with the nation’s No.1 rookie Chet Holmgren, top 20 rookie Hunter Sallis and transfer goalie Rasir Bolton from Iowa State, all alongside Timme, an All-American. pre-season AP.
Some of Gonzaga’s notable non-conference clashes include a November 13 home game against Texas, an on-site neutral meeting with UCLA on November 23, a Las Vegas clash on November 26 with Duke, and a game in Seattle on November 4. December against Alabama.
